Ambient Designer, Seattle Washington
Born and raised in Hawaii, Roel Ventura brings a collaborative “Paradise of the Pacific” vitality and vision to his design work. “Working in partnership with the client and with other designers of different disciplines and practices is very rewarding,” says Roel. “Stories inspire design and I enjoy people and the stories they share about themselves.”
Roel joined Ambius in May 2004 as a Los Angeles-based Concierge and was later promoted to Sales and Design Consultant, and Sales and Design Consultant – Expert Level followed by his appointment to Design Specialist serving the Seattle region. Roel has won several major industry awards in his career for work ranging from eye-catching interior containers with foliage and flowers to orchids and holiday fantasies. Roel was honored with the Plantscape Industry Alliance (PIA) Award of Excellence in Holiday Design for his festive and modern holiday display at Tishman Speyer’s 400 South Hope Street in Los Angeles. He received additional recognition from PIA for his plantscaping prowess at Two Rodeo Drive, an outdoor luxury destination retail shopping destination in Beverly Hills and at the Wells Fargo Atrium at 330 South Hope Street in Los Angeles.
Roel graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Landscape Horticulture Designs with a minor in Business. When he is not busy designing award-winning campaigns, Roel can be found vacationing on Kohala, the Big Island of Hawaii, devouring design and trend publications, running, hiking or taking an impromptu road trip where he searches for the perfect Thai restaurant.
