FAQs
Microfresh is the ANSWER to your ambient scenting needs.
Why should I scent my space?
Studies have shown that the sense of smell is the strongest of the five senses to trigger memory. Some say that seventy-five percent of the emotions we generate on a daily basis are affected by smell. Ambient Scenting is a powerful marketing tool that touches your customer’s emotions, can be a key factor in product perception and in triggering nostalgic memories which can ultimately lead to making purchasing decisions. Scenting creates a pleasant environment for your customers, colleagues and visitors; a space they will want to work and linger in.
How does Microfresh work?
A typical system uses a wet aerosol of perfume, sprayed into the air. Microfresh is a newly patented diffusion system. It converts the liquid perfume into a ‘dry aerosol’ that permeates the entire space with a very small quantity of active ingredient – just enough to create a pleasant scent.
Is there any scientific proof that ambient scenting can help workers become more alert and more productive?
William Dember, a university psychologist, has tested the effect of fragrance while subjects focused their attention for 40 minutes on using computers to pick patterns. Accuracy was around 15% higher when subjects were exposed to fragrances. Similar studies have shown that typists made 14% more strokes and 21% less errors in a perfumed office.
Is Microfresh better than the conventional system I use now?
Conventional aerosol dispensers use heavy droplets that cover perhaps a ten foot square area for up to ten minutes. The Microfresh air treatment does not use heavy droplets. Its micron-sized particles are so light, they float and uniformly spread throughout the space. In fact, Microfresh particles are 1/50 the size of aerosols particles. And Microfresh only uses 1/125,000 as much liquid!
Will Microfresh cause an allergic reaction?
According to OSHA standards, the fragrance and scents being diffused through Microfresh fall far below the OSHA regulated ‘Allergy Triggers’. Because of the small particle size, Microfresh achieves a scent effect of less than one particle per million (PPM). The allergy threshold for most people is over 100 PPM.
Customer safety is crucial to us. How safe is Microfresh?
You can rest easy. Ingredients are 100% pure with inert fragrance and odour neutralizing materials. Conventional systems are at least 50% solvents and propellants that contain potentially harmful VOCs or volatile organic compounds.
How about installation and servicing?
The Microfresh system uses a small amount of 110V AC power. Your electrician will need to install a simple 110V outlet. Your Microfresh team will show you where the appliance needs to be located and will install, maintain and service it once a month – worry free!
Is Microfresh better than conventional ambient scenting systems?
It’s like apples and oranges! Conventional aerosol hygiene dispensers use heavy droplets that mask the odor in perhaps a 10 square foot area for 5-10 minutes after the spray application. The Microfresh air treatment system does not use heavy droplets. Its micron-size particles are so light they float and uniformly treat the air throughout the space. In fact, Microfresh particles are 1/50 the size of aerosol particles. And Microfresh only uses 1/125,000 as much liquid!
