Riverside, CA, Dec. 3, 2014 — The Riverside Convention Center is pleased to announce its partnership with Ambius, the global leader in interior landscaping and holiday decor. By investing in stunning and imaginative holiday design, the Center intends to attract the throngs of visitors who gather in downtown Riverside for the nationally recognized Festival of Lights.
"Since the re-opening of the Center in March, we have looked forward to a variety of opportunities to showcase the venue. It makes perfect sense and Ambius was the ideal to partner to help us draw greater visibility and increase awareness of the beauty and versatility of the newly renovated and expanded facility during this busy time," said Debbi Guthrie, Senior Vice President of Raincross Hospitality Corporation which manages the Riverside Convention Center.
The centerpiece of the Center's holiday decor is a 16 foot holiday tree placed in the dramatic entry tower. Ornaments were carefully chosen to complement the 13 foot tall custom chandelier that features 24 colorful glass-pair cylinders which rain down on the branches of the tree. The jewel-tone theme carries throughout the 65,000 square foot boutique facility.
"It is always a pleasure to design space within an innovative building," said Christopher Karl, Design Specialist at Ambius and lead on the Riverside Project. "The Center afforded us the opportunity to create a holiday treatment similar to a fine hotel where guests come to relax, feel stimulated and be entertained. It is gratifying to know that Ambius helped contribute to the community and such a festive celebration."
The Festival of Lights holiday tradition has been ranked by People Magazine as the second most impressive show of holiday lights in the United States.

Nestled amidst the splendid Spanish Revival architecture of downtown Riverside, the Riverside Convention Center is just steps away from the lively and walk-able Main Street and a host of historic spots.
