Colorado State University - Natural Resources Building | Fort Collins, CO

What better place to install a 23-feet tall by 16-feet wide green wall than in the lobby of a university's Natural Resources Building? When Colorado State University decided to overhaul the Warner College of Natural Resources building in 2017, this client knew it wanted to incorporate a green wall to tell a beautiful, visual story of natural resources and create a teaching and learning tool for faculty and students. Ambius project lead, Staff Architect and AIA Associate Matt Hills, worked closely with architecture and construction firms to ensure that the watering system, plants, and materials aligned with building plans. The end result is a gorgeous, two-story living green wall that echoes the surroundings of the beautiful, meandering South Platte River and immediately draws building visitors in.
