Audubon Aquarium green wall installation in New Orleans, LA

Our firm had the privilege of designing and installing two magnificent living walls, totaling an impressive 810 sqft, at the Audubon Aquarium in New Orleans. The living walls were meticulously crafted using a wall-hung plant tray system, thoughtfully integrated with custom-built irrigation controls seamlessly linked to the building's mechanical room. Our in-house graphic designer curated the plant design, harnessing the beauty of six distinct species, culminating in a total of 3,600 plants.

A segment of the green wall was adorned with replica plants rather than living specimens. This strategic choice was at the client's behest, considering the anticipated challenges of servicing living plants from a stairway in the future. These replica plants are fire- and UV-treated and were handpicked to mirror the living plants below. To ensure the lasting splendor of this living masterpiece, Audubon has a dedicated, full-time maintenance team trained by our experts post-installation.
