Luxottica green wall redesign in Port Washington, NY
How do you take a very basic office space and turn it into a healthy, inviting environment? Add Biophilia! Biophilia is such a keyword for this installation. Our project with Luxottica began with months of video conferences and working closely with architects and owners. Our client wanted to bring in elements of nature and turn a common office space into a crisp, clean, and inviting workplace with natural elements such as wood, curved walls, color, and, of course, plants.
A variety of planters in different shapes, colors, and sizes mimic nature. Plants with texture and assorted colors prevent repetition and keep your eyes moving and your imagination expanding. The project's key feature is a magnificent living green wall, meticulously designed by our expert team and constructed with an impressive array of 2,640 plants. Frames for all three green walls were created overseas by craftsmen using raw unfinished wood, and communication was crucial in order to get the correct depth, width, and length to fit the plants properly and not disrupt the clean lines.
Throughout Luxottica’s office, there are moments that are created with plants and interesting, original planters. There are also no closed spaces in this office. Glass walls enable employees and guests to view the outside and the strategically placed plants no matter where they are on the floor. The end result exceeded all expectations, earning praise from the client and fostering admiration among the employees for this stunning living wall.
