Nature Meets Retail: A Global Design Rollout for Arcteryx | New York, NY

Arcteryx, the renowned Canadian outerwear brand, brought the Pacific Northwest indoors with an immersive biophilic design for their retail stores. Anchored by two striking built-in displays, the design captures the essence of the region’s iconic forest landscapes. A theater room installation spans 20 feet by 8 feet, showcasing 10 fern varieties, a 4-foot Norfolk Island Pine, and moss-covered rocks arranged to mimic the natural layering of a forest floor.

Despite construction delays and last-minute schedule changes, the project was a success, thanks to thoughtful plant selection, integrated lighting, and precise coordination with the construction team. The lower level features additional Norfolk Island Pines, ferns, and textured moss-covered rocks, embodying a curated yet wild forest feel.

The installation resonated so deeply with the client that it inspired a global rollout. It is now featured in stores across NYC, London, Paris, and Germany, with more locations planned for 2024. This design seamlessly blends nature and retail, reinforcing Arcteryx’s commitment to the outdoors.
