Belle Provence at Shangri-La Hotel | Vancouver
When the Shangri-La Hotel, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, wanted to extend the Canadian summer for its guests, Ambius had the perfect solution for this longstanding customer. Elite designer JOanne Craft turned the hotel's Michelin three-star restaurant and covered patio into a French getaway, brimming with a dreamy floral scape that complements the restaurant's cuisine and is reminiscent of a summer stroll along the coast in Provence. Pillars and patio supports were draped with ivy and trailing pink and purple bougainvillea, wisteria, and roses, while an ivy-covered trellis, with prominently placed blooms, makes the perfect "Instagrammable" selfie wall. Potted lavender plants and azaleas dotted tables to complete the design, a subtle nod to the wafting scents of the Mediterranean landscape.
