AC San Diego Hotel Rooftop Install in San Diego, CA
Our client had a desire to cultivate a Biophilic Tulum vibe on their rooftop pool deck and bar. To bring this vision to life, Janice Nath and the Ambius San Diego team crafted an opulent Tulum-inspired atmosphere using a total of 82 custom-finished round containers in earthy tones and 20 white rectangular containers. In the botanical arsenal, we employed 140 plants from seven distinct species, carefully selecting specimens of varying sizes, colors, variegation, shapes, and leaf textures, with a primary emphasis on minimizing the frequency of watering.
The circular planters were thoughtfully arranged around the rooftop's soft seating and lounge areas, while the rectangular planters were strategically positioned along the lower patio's periphery, serving as an elegant privacy screen against the backdrop of neighboring structures. Our botanical palette featured an exquisite medley of Queen palms, Areca Palms, Beaucarnea Recurvata, Schefflera, Strelitzia Nicolai, Codiaeum Petra Croton, Philodendron, and Sansevieria plants, each contributing to the creation of the Biophilic Tulum Vibe Scene envisioned by the client.
The culmination of our efforts resulted in an enchanting, cozy, and inviting space characterized by lush greenery reminiscent of paradise. This hotel has since become the epicenter of a vibrant nightlife scene, and we take immense pride in being an integral part of this dynamic experience. Bringing our client's vision to life is the most rewarding aspect of every project, and we're thrilled to have achieved precisely that.
