Ambius earns 17 awards at the International Plantscape Ceremony
Ambius, the global leader in creating smarter, healthier spaces, was recognized at the 2022 International Plantscape Awards in Tampa, Florida, earning 17 awards for innovative designs. The awards, which were part of the four-day Tropical Plant International Expo, recognized top industry designers and honored exceptional interior plantscape designs.
Ambius designers from across North America submitted entries in ten categories. Ambius brought home an award in all ten categories including Horticultural Service, Design, Major Renovation and Moss Walls. Among the Ambius winners was a Boston design team receiving platinum honors for an exceptional triptych living green wall installed at a local Science and Visual Arts Center.
“Our designers are passionate about creating, installing and servicing one-of-a-kind experiences using show-stopping plantscape designs,” said John Myers, President and CEO of Rentokil North America, the parent company of Ambius. “Each of these designs showcases a commitment to excellence, using the power of plants and biophilic design to bring our clients’ visions to life. We are proud of our designers and we are honored to receive these awards.”
Judging criteria for each design included enhancement of the environment, adherence to design standards, degree of difficulty and creativity, quality of materials along with other key elements. The industries behind these installations vary from hotel and hospitality to restaurants, cruise ships to office spaces, shopping centers to education facilities and more.
In a 2020 study of 3,000 office workers, Ambius found that 55% of respondents believe incorporating plants and biophilic design into a workspace can help improve mental health and well-being. Each of the award-winning designs celebrated biophilia, the beauty of plants and the forward-thinking companies that embrace the range of benefits that plants and design can have in the built environment.
